Door Puzzle – UE5

  • This is a short Unreal Engine 5 puzzle game where the player must find a hidden key and unlock the saloon doors before the spike traps rise.

  • I designed and built the entire experience, including mechanics, blueprints, animations, and environment setup.

My Responsibilities

  • Built gameplay mechanics using Blueprints

  • Created key pickup interaction (collision + Boolean variable)

  • Designed a saloon door opening with a timeline animation

  • Implemented spike trap movement and death logic

  • Set up environment assets and level layout

  • integrated Mixamo animations

  • Managed sound

  • Debugged collision issues and character movement

  • Optimized the scene for smooth gameplay

What I learned

  • This project helped me understand how gameplay systems work together by combining collision events, timelines, and casting to create smooth and responsive puzzle interactions.

  • Throughout the process, I learned how to troubleshoot animation blueprints, fix character logic issues, and refine my level flow.

  • I also improved my scene's performance and used timelines to create cleaner movement for doors and traps.

  • Overall, this project strengthened my problem-solving skills and gave me more confidence working inside Unreal Engine 5.

Maze Chase – Third Person Horror Game

  • A third-person horror chase game developed in Unreal Engine 5. The player navigates through a dark maze while being chased by an enemy AI.

  • The gameplay focuses on survival and exploration.

  • The player must use a weapon to destroy the obstacle wall blocking the path and find a key to unlock the exit.

  • AI enemy that continuously chases the player

  • Instant death on enemy collision
